Anyone professionally fix washing machines?

Don't know if I posted about my problems with my maytag neptune before, but needless to say, all front load washers are plagued with bearing problems.

Had some jackass from A&E factory services come out, tell me pretty much everything needed to be replaced, and quote me more than I paid for the thing brand new.

After dismantling most of this thing and testing, the only thing that's bad is the drum bearings*80$*

I have the thing in pieces, and understand what needs to be done, just need some advice on how to do it, so if anyone fixes washers professionally or has experience with maytag neptunes, hit me up.

I've taken washers to bits in the past out of necessity (it was broken, no money this month, etc.,), but I am waaaay far from a pro.

I've never owner a front loader, but I imagine as you say the bearings would be under stress given that the bottom of the drum always carries weight.

Often a given manufacturer has a "tune up kit" with new bearings and washers available. Google it, and your washer's Model# too...also google things like "appliance forum". There are forums you can ask advice on.

That lawsuit is long and gone and made maytag bankrupt, it's now owned by whirlpool.

The problem, well opinions I need, are on how to get the old bearings out. I've been told several methods, but all have risks. :oops:

1 1/2 inch diameter 3 ft long fence post and a 10lb hand sledge.

FYI, they call it a hand sledge, because when you hit your hand on accident, that fucker drops, and sledges into your god damned foot.... :x
