We wanted an evergreen tree in the yard, but not one that would be too expensive or grow too huge because of where we're going to put it. Ideally we would have rather had a Colorado Blue Spruce, but they get huge and they are expensive to buy.

We were given spruce trees in grade 3...all of the students got them to take home and plant. My sister and brother etc...it used to be a thing here.

My bro's survived, my sisters did not....because I guess I was a little terror and kept pulling the damned thing out

They are stiffer than ordinary laces, but not to the point that you can't tie them. The black has basically faded to grey now, but there is no sign of wear on them at all. I would definitely say they will outlast the boots by a longshot and be ready to go on the next pair that I buy when my current boots wear out.

I give them a 9.5 out of 10

I've already got the hex impact and the drill, they are great at work. Just powerful enough for all the smaller auto fasteners without stripping or breaking bolts. Small, lightweight and being 12-volt I use them to jump window motors and the like. It's definitely made my job much faster and easier.

The ones out here run 400+lbs. Still gonna do a number on the truck. In all honesty, the reason I put it on is to balance the trucks weight a little better. Withe the service bed and all the tools/parts, it rode heavy in the back, and therefore the front was a bit bouncy. Now, with the 10 lbs or so the guards weighs, and playing with tire pressures, it rides great for a 2500.

So far the only problem I have seen now is that the laces are so tough that they are slowly cutting away part of the boot area that the laces go through near the bottom. Not that big a deal because even if/when that gets cut all the way thru, it won't really affect the way the boots lace up, but it could be a problem on other forms of shoes/boots depending on how they are made. These laces will cut thru something not solid after awhile.

4 drawer rolling tool cart with 580# capacity. Regular price $279, sale price $259, with coupon code $109.

I have a big Matco cart at work already but it's so loaded it's a pain to move around cars. Small Matco/Snap-on/Mac carts go for 5-700 bucks so I figured I'd try the cheapo made in china one first from Harbor Freight.

So far I'm actually impressed, it's got a decent finish on it, ball bearing drawer slides and much thicker steel than I expected. Thing weighs about 100 pounds.

The room the new couches are in will get new carpet as well as replacing the tile surround on fireplace. Thinking of slate for that, then new paint on walls and ceiling.

I've never seen a dishwasher that small before...

My pa and I recently bought a new one. All sorts of water conservation features and you can't hear the bloody thing running :x We always have to guess or wait until a subtle beep says we can open it...also, the utensil holder is at the back of the bottom rack and can't be moved. Not designed very well, especially for an 82 yr old person.

also - the controls are on the top of the door, so nothing is visible when the door is closed (which is ALWAYS)

poor design for our new ergonomic times

Nothing, that's the weird thing. Just started having these weird pain attacks, numbness, tingling. Turns out I have 3 fucked discs in my neck.

I had a consult with a doc who was supposed to be "the man" in cervical spine in Chicago back then. He walked in and said "how long did you play football for?" I told him i never did. He said that a cervical like that could only result from trauma. I told him I didn't have any. He said I was either lying or just didn't remember.

Recently I remembered something. I was 17-18, in Australia. I had learned how and become adept at body surfing. I was on a beach with a strong riptide. the waves would slam because the undercurrent was so strong. I caught one bigger than I probably should have and it slammed me, head first, into the sand.

Other than that, a car wreck at 16, but the doc said no that wasn't it, had to be more traumatic.

no idea.

I've seen a neurologist and neurosurgeon...the latter was an appointment that tightened the sphincter...

Not a doctor but that last statement by the doc is complete BS. Any car wreck can and usually does cause damage. If you haven't played contact sports like football (head/neck concussive force), and you've never dove into a pool without water, it's likely the car accident is the problem. There's a little known thing called Pandora's Box syndrome. Your body suffers some damage when you're young...falling out of a tree, getting hit in the face, wiping out on a bike...and since you're young, you heal quickly. A number of years or decades go by and another smaller or different trauma aggravates the original injury. Dental appointment...lifting something...the way you sleep...the secondary incident later in life can be a really lightweight incident. And simple aging can trigger hidden injuries as well.

If you have proof (imagery) of the 3 fucked discs in your neck, there was likely a cause other than genetics. In that case you would have been aware of the dysfunction at a much younger age. I've been in six separate car accidents of varying severity...fell off a mountain while climbing...hit my head at the bottom of a river...and been hit by everything from fists to metal beams in the noggin. Bit of an expert on the subject...

tingling and numbness are nerve related symptoms and dropping shit is an escalation....I have one internal rule so my symptoms don't start bumming me out too much...pain is ok (shitty, but ok)..loss of functionality is not ok... it may sound dumb or obvious, but if you end up having to live with it daily (like me), you have to differentiate between bad and really bad...

The neurologists I've seen have been the most straightforward and knowledgeable guys in the medical profession....they'll let you know what's up

Other than that, a car wreck at 16, but the doc said no that wasn't it, had to be more traumatic.

no idea.If it is just inflammation and subluxation, it can be corrected with exercise. You only absolutely require surgery when the disc is in pieces (like my L5S1 was when I had surgery on it.)

There are about 4-5 sections of my spinal chi gung form that I do that focus very well (and gently, when performed correctly and not forcefully) on the cervical spine. If you are interested in taking the bull by the horns and want to learn, let me know and I will teach you the movements. They will have to be done very slowly and cautiously for a while, and always whenever anything feels acute. Done daily, couple, few times a day, you will not have these neck problems in the future if you initiate the corrective action yourself and stick by it.

If it is just swelling and subluxation, plenty often a PT or chiro can just reset the discs back into place. I do this myself quite often, but honestly the more I do the exercises, the less any other manual adjustment is required. My spine is so fluid and easy to move it would shock you - easy to sublux and just as easy to put it back into place.

Good luck homes. Sublux'd shit sucks.

I think it's 2 herniated and one ruptured, but that was 10 years ago. I showed the films to a chiropractor back then. He said he wouldn't touch it. Too dangerous.

herniated is merely blown up, that can be healed. but ruptured is broken after herniated, so that is not good bro. which ones and in what location, just curious?

Look on the bright side, if gas prices do shoot back up, you could always hit the kids up for gas money since they won't be so embarrassed to be seen riding around with Dad in his big ass truck rather than the Mitsubishit they wouldn't be caught dead in.

Teh One Who Knocks

Nope, no sale, I don't have a contract anymore, so you have to pay full price, especially considering it's the brand new Galaxy. The only good thing was there's no money down and they let you spread the payments over 24 months (which you can pay off/down at any time)

All lower cervical. I can't remember the exact ones, but I want to say 4-5-6. I'll pull the new MRI report.

Edit: per the MRI, C5-C6, C6-C7, C7-T1. I am not sure I understand the report though.

I have clinical curiosity, simply because a lot of the books pops had laying around growing up were on the order of "clinical oriented anatomy" that focused around common injury and how they happen and how things are usually assessed. in fact that title is one I stole from him and never gave back because it was that good  if its easy for you to paste it in, cool, if not, I wouldnt ask you to reproduce it via typing

you can tell where Thoracic spine turns into Cervical largely by the spinous process on the posterior aspect, thoracic sticks out more.

good luck healing that shit - exercises from the spinal qigong set like turtle neck, crane neck, would probably go a long way towards making this normal - but its very tough to deal with (or accelerate repairs in any way shape or form) when things are acute.

when I have acute issues like that - one technique to use is to make the point bright, with the mind's eye. very bright, keep the focus of your awareness trained on it as if the focus of your consciousness is like a focusing laser. it gets made brighter and brighter until the mind's eye is maxed or saturated on the idea "whitewash" the "video" and then a slow return to calm normal.

one of the methods of the african bushmen in their healing dances is ostensibly throwing "darts" into a sick area - the entire group of them who are doing the stomping and chanting, raising the vibration of the entire group, every one of them does this as they dance past the one to be healed...and on subsequent circlings, they are "removed"...

it was funny studying that culture, I discovered that the / is used for that clicking sound - so they call this "healing chi" or whatever the reality-abstraction truly is, they call it "n/um" so it sounds like n*click*um  and it reminds me of the smiley :yumyum:

I thought tempurpedics got better the older they were? I bought one years ago, the one in the store was amazing and plushy, then I receive this brick of foam that needs to be heated to 120 degrees to soften up, does so unevenly and put my back in a bad spot....fuck those things
