A granite sink.......... must be nice to be rich :(

8-)

Great looking sink Lance! Love it

Thanks! :)

Like I said above, it ended up being a lot more work than it should have been (or that we thought it would be I guess). Mostly because the new sink is a lot deeper and it's wider than the old one, so there was even less room under the sink to work when putting everything in. Plus, we had to change/replace stuff on the fly as we went. All told it was about 6 trips to Lowe's before we had everything we needed.

But it makes the kitchen look so much better and it goes great with all our appliances which are all black as well. All totaled up, between the sink, the new faucet, and the new garbage disposal, it probably ended up being about a $600 project, but like I said, it makes the kitchen look so much better. That worthless stainless sink they put in was flimsier than a wet piece of tracing paper and they did a shitty job when they put it in.

Bought a used laptop off Craigslist. Dell Inspiron 5010 CoreI5, 4GB ram,600GB HDD. Was originally a windows 7 laptop but had been "upgraded" TO WINDOWS 10.
Paid $120 for it, it's to be used as a DJ computer on the island.

I really would have preferred Windows 7 but it wouldn't downgrade or recover to factory settings. Figured I'd tinker around to see if I can get all my programs to work on it.

So far almost everything installed properly and I spent many hours cleaning it up and shutting off all the Microsoft spying crap. Did some research and found a little app from Spybot (makers of the anti malware app) that in a couple clicks blocks access to all the stuff that reports back to MS that cannot be shut off manually. (Like Cortana and MS using your computer and bandwidth to send updates to strangers computers.) So far so good!

Only bug so far is somewhere in my tinkering I broke the "Photo" app and couldn't open any pictures, found a hack to be able to use the old "Windows Photo Viewer", turns out it is included with windows 10 just not accessible to set as a default without a registry hack.

It makes it to work when I am in traffic, I charge at work again and I get within 5 miles of my house before it runs out. When you break it charges a little, so I can do 50 miles in traffic, on the way home there isnt much traffic, so typically I dont get the same distance. But, it still runs the same distance as when I first got it

A microwave. It is the same brand (Panasonic) as the previous one - which lasted 12 years until the turntable thing broke, same buttons, same power level and the buttons are in exactly in the same place on the panel, so I thought it had the same features. Only difference is that it's smaller and I found I didn't ever really use the largeness of the other one much.

Seems "Auto Cook" now means instead of automatically sensing the cooking as the other microwave brilliantly did, this one you press it once, and it gives you 2 minutes, twice for 2.45, 3 for...etc...a fixed amount of time and seems to have no smarts about it whatsoever.

It was a whole lot cheaper than when I bought the other one (by about $100)...if I want one with the same working features, I'll have to pony up a LOT more $. Harrumph! Luckily I mostly cook with the toaster oven, stove and grill.

Yep, all my home stuff is all squared away. I had a bunch of stuff laying around for my car and decided to finish it out. I have 2 Alpine S series 10s and the Alpine S series 6.5s with the Alpine Type R Tweets coming. Subs are powered by a Hifonics Brutus 1500 with a 3.5 farad cap and the mids and highs will be powered by the Hifonics 616.4 all ran by a Kenwood DPX592BT.

Granted, if you get into a situation where you actually need 12 rounds, then you're probably screwed anyway...

Just bought a replacement coffee mug for my grandfather. He only had one and he dropped it the other day. He said he'd had that mug for years and years and hated that he dropped it. He seemed so broken up about it that I went online to look for another one just like it. Apparently, a 1989 Rhett Butler coffee mug is considered vintage. Found it on ebay for about $25. I would normally never spend that much on a mug (especially since I don't drink coffee), but, as I said, it seemed to mean a lot to him. I imagine my grandmother gave it to him or something when she was still alive. Mine won't have the same meaning, but it can at least be a reminder of the original.

are they 285 all round? That's a lot of tyre.... I kinow the old z28 had 305 section tyres up front. Also, they binned the new z28 while testing on the nurburgring the other day

KevinD

Yeah, stock on mine is 285. 10 wide rims on front, 11 inch on back. The Z28 runs 305 all around on a 19 inch rim. I thought of going to 295 or 305 all around, but, in budget mode right now.

Saw the video on the 17 Z28 at the ring. Looks like they hadn't sorted the braking out yet. Rears locked up, plus a bit off slight error on the drivers part exiting the corner before wreck.

305 is too wide for a 10" wheel... 285 is pushing it a bit IMO, but then again, I'm not an expert like the guys that decided on the setup

The Z28 rims are forged 19 in diameter 11in up front and 11.5in rear. I'm looking for a set, but $$$$, lol

On my stock 10in front rims, the 285s are perfect fit. Just want to go wider, lol

Prep time is virtually non existent since they are already trimmed, (unless you corn your own which takes a couple of weeks) then just smoke them like you would normally do.
The combination of corned beef, home made barbecue rub and smoke go nicely together.

but then again, its oh so NOT overkill, since I can now do what I was doing with 4 stands, with two now. I'm going to get another 9700XL to hang my center two toms and center crash cymbal off of it. all the tubes are 1 size up from the reg 9700, so I can take the top 1 off of the XL and put it on the bottom of the 9700 (will use that as ride stand) and top 2 from the 9700 can pair with the bottom 2 of the XL.

I also discovered that...like all other DW9000 stuff, its totally geared around FAST setup and break down - so these stands I take boom end off, middle out, bottom by itself. Seems weird to take the stand apart, but with the way they have these locks designed, its 3 times faster of a setup, no missing how its configured either.

again very happy with DW gear....expensive but the ease of setup/breakdown, sturdiness, configurability is second to none.

Yes power cord, rechargable battery. Bluetooth connectivity and AUX. USB charging ports . And there is a Groupon for a manufacturer refurb for $99. I figured it's perfect for the island so if someone wants to drag it out to the deck they don't have to run power. Pretty neat little box.
They make about 20 different models each with different features so make sure if you're shopping for one you get the exact model number with the features you're after. The model I bought you can buy two and wirelessly link them to create Stereo via bluetooth when streaming from your phone.

Referb unit showed up yesterday, the "refurbishing" job the manufacturer did apparently included half assed wiping down the spilled gunk with a dirty rag and throwing it in a new box. It had gunk (spilled pepsi?) in all the cracks and crevices and the power switch is faulty and won't turn/stay on. Other than that it sounded pretty good, was louder than expected.
Boxed it back up and am sending it back to the manufacturer for a new replacement. So much for enjoying it on the island this weekend or next. Give this company one chance to make it right.

A new wireless mouse. I wore out the left click button. I got the same mouse that I wore out. The battery life on it is amazing. While I'm using the newer mouse, I can take the old one apart and see if I can't fix it. It's probably an easy fix, but we'll see.

Subsequently, navigating the web has become a royal pain in the ass so I'm gonna have to surf severely frustrated for a day while I wait for the new mouse to come.

We got a refurbished iPhone yesterday from Gazelle, they did a great job, the WiFi only works if you are standing within 5 feet of the access point  Then they wanted us to a pay a restocking fee for returning it

A baseball glove - if I'm gonna be taking in these minor league games regularly, I'm gonna need one to catch balls with instead of sitting around like a sitting duck waiting to get beaned by a line drive foul.

A Wilson football - I've always wanted one. I've been looking at them for the past 5 years, saying, "Meh, not today." Well I looked at one today and said, "Ok, today."

Some birthday cards. I've got 3 birthdays coming up, 1 in September and 2 in October.

And a prescription.

A rowing machine...no time to go join a gym or anything like that, but I should be able to get to this every day. When I was going to the gym back in the day, the rowing machine was my favorite cardio machine.

A new wheelchair cushion. A Supracor Stimulite Classic XS. Different from what I'm already using. I've had my eye on these for about 10 years or so. I figured it was time to try it and see how I like it. I'm sick of these Jay gel pad cushions that I've been using. I keep breaking the gel pads and they're ridiculously expensive to replace. I'm not a fan of the Roho air cushions either. They're just a pain in the ass. The Supracor cushions are supposed to be low maintenance. Low maintenance is good. If I don't have to think about it, then I'm happy. It's costing me $360 so it better fucking make me happy.

Maybe, in time, I'll look into the Varilite cushions. They're supposed to be low maintenance too. I just don't feel like spending another $400 to test one out in addition to what I'm shelling out for this one. Besides, I've got a rifle to buy, if the damn pawn shop ever calls me back.

Another long weekend, another home project  Attacked the master bathroom this time. Didn't get nearly as far as we wanted, so still a lot to do. But got it painted (still need to do some touch up around a few places), got the floor done (super happy with how that turned out) and got the new vanity and granite top put in and got it all plumbed. Hung one new cabinet and then got the toilet and bathtub caulked. Still need to get the medicine cabinet and mirror hung up and get the trim done. But it's mostly usable now.

A 5.1 cubic foot Frigidaire chest freezer. There's just not enough space in the freezer for all the junk in there. Home Depot will deliver it on Saturday.

Look on Craigslist for an upright, we bought a used one on there for $50 three years ago, still going fine.

I'll look into it soon. This whole ordeal was kind of weird so I don't think I'm gonna spend any money today. I canceled the order. I'm getting kind of spooked.
