My Dad was too. What's worse was when you asked him what he wanted, he'd just shrug and say, "Whatever."

It doesn't help that I inherited it from him.

I have some craftsman stuff, it does break more easily and wears out faster. Making special trips to Sears to exchange brokens gets to be a pain + if you do it too often they won't honor the warranty as apparently using them professionally voids it.

yeah, there are cheaper tools over here with lifetime warranties too.... doesn't mean they aren't shit though  They'll be fine for a DIYer, but as pony says, if you use them every day, they son't last for long. One of my ratchets was ~£30 and I'm on my 4th one because the flex heads keep falling off.... I know a guy that's had a snap on one for over 20 years and never had a problem with it.... they are just better

There's an existing 5' privacy fence that needs to be fixed in place already, but you need a special waiver to build a fence over 6' tall, so we're going to supplement the fence with a tree fence

we had the opposite...guy on the right of us got a dog, perhaps the most vicious and unruly dog I've ever seen...

they kept it in their backyard everyday, never taking it for walks...

he comes over and asks us if we wouldn't mind taking down the existing fence (about 4'0) and helping him both pay and install a new 6' chain link fence. My Dad told him politely to go blow it out his ass. So the guy puts up the chain link fence, right next to our existing wooden fence....looks great *sarcasm*

an alley runs behind our houses and millions of kids walk down it to the nearby school....he had to erect a larger wooden fence back there because the dog was trying to attack everything that walked by...

can't fault him too much about caring for the dog because he worked from about 630am to 7 at night...his wife however did nothing all day except walk around the backyard..

Teh One Who Knocks
05-27-2014, 05:32 PM
I try and be respectful about my dog(s) if they start to bark, especially with Pepper as she has a VERY LOUD and deep bark. If she starts barking I look outside to see what she's barking at and if it's nothing, I yell at her. Whereas the neighbors behind us have one of those tiny fucking annoying dogs that do nothing but yap yap yap yap all fucking day and night long. They don't yell at it, even when they are outside. Plus their fucking kids taunt our dogs, I've yelled at the more than once to leave my dogs alone.

If it was legal to kill people, they would all have been dead long ago.

Hal-9000

left side of my house...Teddy, the insane yap-mutt

I swear, they let him out 15 times a night (no exaggeration) and he comes out at full speed barking for the entire time...there's nothing going on in our neighborhood at all and the dog barks himself hoarse...

and the women who owns him talks at about 1 decibel, whispering - Be quiet Teddy, be quiet

I love animals despite not owing one...and I've walked up to our fence and threatened that little Spaz with a good BBQ-ing

30 ins, 30 outs....that should do it for a while...

and one SUPER great thing about this is that is has a standalone sort of operation where you dont even need a computer - hook up a usb hdd to it and let er rip! Will be a great redundancy aspect, should the DAW software have a dropout or something.

I bought a Logitech MK320 wireless mouse and keyboard combo...to replace my 3 year old Logitech MK320 wireless mouse and keyboard combo

the USB receiver is quite a bit smaller compared to the same package from 3 years ago  (like 1/8th of the size)

Why do I like this ghetto desktop setup? The keyboard has soft keys, the hot keys are actually useful opening your email, browser, media player, calculator and they can be remapped using the Logitech software

The mouse is a little small, but easy on your hand during long periods of surfing. Combined total was only 30 bucks. The best feature by far is the range. I have the dongle plugged into the back of my pc, behind a huge desk, behind a large coffee table and from the couch over 10 feet away I've never lost connectivity to the pc.

Yep! Just a little different kind of frisbees.
Any of y'all play?

Jez when we used to play we used Wham-O frisbees. I recall using a moonlighter glow in the dark frisbee that was normal or small size and when we got serious, it was a black Wham-O 150 gram monster. Back then that was a heavy disc...let me try to find some pics

the moonlighter...I remember it as being a light frisbee, we used to play frisbee 500 and frisbee football quite a bit

Damn Hal, you were some serious playah!
Yeah, the game started with those big, bulky "beach" frisbees. Then someone realized they don't work so well for the sport and started developing them. That "Moonlight" disc looks damn cool though and I'd love to have one. Even if just for show off and good luck talisman in my bag.

I'm buying a computer monitor, not a freakin' TV set. I'll get a bigger one when my eyesight starts failing me like you blind old fogies.
