NEWPORT-Allied EMS ambulance service called police to 513 Freeman Ave., in Newport, on Wednesday, Nov. 23, to assist them with a man who had allegedly stabbed himself with a turkey thermometer, Patrolmen Matthew Elliott and Matt Franklin reported.
Scott K. Kelly, 38, was allegedly discovered laying on a couch in the Freeman Avenue residence, saying he had stabbed himself with the thermometer to see if he was "done or not," the report stated.
Police allegedly noticed a small hole where Kelly had stabbed himself in the lower abdominal area, according to the officers' report.
