WINDSOR, Ontario -- A 49-year-old Ontario man died after becoming trapped in an apartment window, police said.
The man, whose name was not released, apparently locked himself out of his Windsor apartment and attempted to get in through a second-story window, CBC News reported.
A person from a neighboring building called police Friday when they noticed the man hanging partially out of the window.
"It appears he almost made it inside. For whatever reason the window did slam shut on him," Windsor Police spokesperson Sgt. Brett Corey said. "We will not be able to determine an actual cause of death until a post-mortem is done."
Police said no foul play is suspected.
"He brought joy to my life. He'll be very sadly missed," said Isiah Pattison, who said he is the man's husband of five years.
