Was it after the reveal at the very end or before? :-k

After the reveal and I went to bed.

I think the "key" guy was unaged too like the coma girl and possibly the FBI guy. The prisoners are coming back to kill unaged others from a different group.

Well....

The FBI guy has aged though as he was that 'rookie' cop with the vet that discovered everyone was missing at Alcatraz. And when Jack went to get that key, the guy didn't know him and it didn't look like Jack recognized him. :-k

And I wasn't expecting Lucy to be one of the un-aged '63's'

Pony
01-17-2012, 11:57 AM
I didn't catch the rookie as fbi guy, I thought he was the girls uncle from the bar. It seemed fbi guy knew key guy though, if it was a different group that disappeared they may not know each other...

...I dunno, just kicking around a theory.

I didn't like the fact that the cops in ep 1 weren't wearing vests and either was the fbi group when they were after a guy that shoots in the heart.

Teh One Who Knocks
01-17-2012, 12:01 PM
Yeah, near the end of the episode when they flashback to the two cops in Alcatraz back in '63, the older one asks the younger one his name and it was the same as weird FBI guy in the present.

Are you talking about the 2 patrol cops that Jack shot when he was outside the Key guy's house? I don't think cops on patrol normally wear body armor :-k But yeah, when they were looking for OCD sniper dude, they should have been wearing armor. Plus, I find it pretty bizarre that when Lucy got shot in the chest that she didn't die. A chest wound like that from a rifle should have killed her.

Yea, I thought most cops do wear armor these days... How about the cemetery scene where the girl's pointing the gun at the guy, lets him raise his gun then nothing for 10 seconds until someone else shot him. At close range she should have just shot him as soon as he started to point his gun.

It's already got the feel of something with many layers, I hope it doesn't get too far out there also.

Yeah, that scene was completely unbelievable....here's a guy that has killed several people, including 2 cops, and they let that happen? Not in a million years. As soon as he started raising his gun up, the cops would have filled him full of holes in reality.

He should be at least 70 by this point. He doesn't look 70 unless he be time traveling too.

Sam Neill is 64, close enough....my dad is 72 and doesn't look that old at all, so that doesn't bother me that much.

Teh One Who Knocks
01-18-2012, 11:46 AM
One thing that does bother me though while thinking about the episode, remember when they were looking for where OCD Sniper was shooting at the carnival from up on that hill? Well, first of all, them finding the shell casing that easily was just stupid, but when they did find it, they picked it up and handled it without wearing gloves.

:wtf:

She's supposed to be a cop? Nothing like contaminating the evidence. :wha:

Pony
01-18-2012, 11:50 AM
Yea, the fact that they found it when he was OCD was pretty annoying. They continually showed how meticulous he was with his jail cell but he missed the shell?

Teh One Who Knocks
01-18-2012, 12:03 PM
How do you think they will run the show? Will it be done like a 'criminal of the week' kinda thing where one of the Alcatraz prisoners shows up and they have to track them down? :-k

And what's with that replica Alcatraz out in the woods? :-k

Pony
01-18-2012, 12:20 PM
Yea, I think the main plot will be tracking down a criminal every week with the subplots interwoven. Who knows though, one of the mistakes they made with Lost was not making individual episodes independent enough. If you didn't watch it religiously it just was confusing.

I was thinking the bunker Alcatraz is trying to recreate what happened in the original "experiment" Once they get everybody back in there something happens?

Teh One Who Knocks
01-18-2012, 12:35 PM
I never thought of that (concerning the 'new' Alcatraz). And did you notice the look when they brought the sniper in and him and Sylvane saw each other? Sylvane said he didn't know the guy when he was asked, but when they looked at each other, it definitely looked like they recognized each other.

Pony
01-18-2012, 12:38 PM

Was he on the wall? I thought it was only guards and prisoner that were out of the 63, I'm running on the assumption that another group has done the same though.

Teh One Who Knocks
01-31-2012, 12:01 PM
Yup, because even back in 1960, that room that door was in looked old and abandoned and not entered very often.

Pony
01-31-2012, 12:04 PM
At first I was thinking how would they not know that door is there? After a while I realized that with the place full of corridors and big steel doors everywhere it's not surprising they missed it.

Teh One Who Knocks
01-31-2012, 12:07 PM
Yup, the prison had long since been abandoned (and more than likely searched by the Parks Department), so unless you knew there was a secret door somewhere, why would you go looking for it somewhere that is obviously hidden away.

Pony
01-31-2012, 12:21 PM
I do have to look back to the first episode, I think that door is in the same room where they store the file boxes. Just a feeling I've seen it before.

One thing that bothers me is that these guys seem to be able to adjust to 2012 with no problem. They've said in the show a couple of times "One minute it was 1963 the next it was 2012". If I got transported 50 years into the future I think I would have some serious culture shock. But these don't seem to have any problems. In fact that one guy that was poisoning everyone was a bartender and then got a job at a hotel. :-s

Yeah or how quickly they're able to find guys sometimes. But yeah I guess you have to take for what it is. I think that's why I liked that episode about the gold so much. They weren't out searching around the city for them, the action was all confined to the prison.

FOX still hasn't given a straight answer about what will happen to its new drama, but ratings fell again during the last episode that got aired on February 20. The rating for the show was down to 5.96 and 1.8 in the 18-49 demographic. That was good enough for only fourth place in the 9 p.m. time slot, far behind "The Voice" on NBC, "Two and a Half Men" on CBS and "The Bachelor" on ABC.

It certainly looks like the show is on a path to get canceled, especially with some of the new shows like "Touch" that FOX wants to try out.
