An Orange County hockey mother has surrendered herself in connection with charges of sexually assaulting two teenage boys.
Kathia Maria Davis, 44, a divorced mother of three, is accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy and having unlawful sex with a 16-year-old boy on her son's hockey team, prosecutors say. She is accused of plying them with alcohol and throwing parties, according to prosecutors. Both victims were associated with the Beach City Lightning, which plays in Anaheim and Laguna Niguel. Davis is due in court Friday.
Davis is accused of letting the 13-year-old boy in 2005 or 2006 drink alcohol in her home during a sleepover, prosecutors say. After her son and daughter went to sleep on the floor of the room they were all in, Davis is accused of kissing and fondling the 13-year-old boy, prosecutors say.
The 16-year-old was also given alcohol during visits to her Laguna Niguel home, prosecutors say. She is charged with having sex with the boy four times at her home in her bedroom between July 1, 2010, and July 31, 2011, prosecutors say. Prosecutors alleged that on some of those occasions, two of her children were present in the house.
The 16-year-old eventually told his mother about the alleged sexual contact and the family alerted Orange County Sheriff’s detectives. Davis, 44, is charged with two felony counts of lewd acts on a child under 14 related to the younger boy and four felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with the 16-year-old and a sentencing enhancement allegation for substantial sexual conduct with a child, prosecutors say.
If convicted, she faces a maximum sentence of 12 years and eight months in state prison.
