A North Carolina woman has been arrested for injecting an exotic dancer with a disfiguring potion that she claimed would enhance her buttocks for a sexier stage look.

Lauretta Cheek, 42, of Greensboro was charged with one count of practicing medicine without a license after her alleged victim claims they met in a hotel room at the Scottish Inn to exchange $500 for the fake filler, reported WTSP.com.

The woman from Charlotte, North Carolina, made two trips to the emergency room before filing a complaint with the health department.

While Guilford County Sheriff's Detective Craig Cotten said they do not know what the substance was, "It appears that the substance that was injected into her basically burned its way back out," he said.

"It's not just one big spot. Being a liquid or gel-type of material, it kind of went in different directions and obviously got infected and left pretty significant scarring."

The case bares eerie similarities to that of Florida transgender woman Oneal Ron Morris, who was arrested last month for injecting a toxic mixture of cement, tire sealant and mineral oil into the buttocks and faces of numerous victims, causing them to be hideously disfigured.

Cheek's alleged crimes are not connected to Morris' fake injection business, but it is not the first time she has posed as a doctor.

In 2008, she ran a company called AltMED and was accused of pumping women with drugs that claimed to be lipo-dissolve injections to reduce fat, and reportedly caused kidney failure.

She was charged with 20 counts of obtaining a controlled substance through fraud and forgery and is currently on probation.

I watched Dr Phil this morning showing the women who had the injections in FL. WTF are people thinking when they have medical procedures done in motels and apartments? Good grief...
