A stretch of the heavily traveled 60 Freeway near the site of a tanker-truck explosion will remain closed through the Thursday morning commute, the California Highway Patrol said.

The span between the 605 and 710 freeways will be shut down at least through the morning because of the fire damage sustained by an overpass, Capt. Omar Watson said Wednesday night.

The closure probably will create an exasperating rush-hour drive for morning commuters traveling the major transportation artery, which connects Los Angeles with the San Gabriel Valley and the Inland Empire.

About 220,000 vehicles use that stretch of the freeway daily, according to the California Department of Transportation.

State transportation officials said it was unclear when the freeway would be reopened.

Motorists were urged to use alternate routes such as the 10 and 210 freeways to the north. Another possibility, officials said, was to use the 5, 105 and 605 freeways to and from the Los Angeles area.
Chunks of concrete and pieces of metal fell from the overpass at Paramount Boulevard as intense flames consumed the tanker, which was carrying thousands of gallons of gas, fire officials said.

One firefighter suffered a fractured leg battling the blaze, but was expected to be released from a hospital Wednesday night.

The cause of the fire had not been determined and was under investigation by the CHP.

The bigger issue is the overpass is unstable and started falling apart because the truck was burning underneath it.

The only reason for an IT person to be on site is if a copier jams and the employees are too dumb to find it. Everything else can be done via a VPN connection and a cell phone.

It was a joke and I'd knock you the fuck out.

The network engineer is my best friend and he chooses to come into work everyday. The rest can work from home if that's where they are most comfortable.

Hey thats funny, I have a few years of BJJ/MMA as well... But the difference between you and I is I actually trained... But really.. please.. stop. This is pointless...

If I came in to your little bank and called you out for being a pompous ass there's nothing you could do about it except get on the floor and slither back to your office.. Remember... If you dont own the place you are just an employee as well, and the customer is always right.. :)

What makes people think they can get under my skin? Like I care what someone on the internet thinks they know about me.

I find it more amusing than anything. Besides, it's downright ungentlemanly to not reciprocate when someone starts the internet tough guy game.

I don't let it go too far usually.. The reality of it ever being an actual reality is mostly nil to none.. So whats the point..? Words on a screen.
