Despite strong objections from prosecutors, a judge has permitted a Fort Collins man accused of sexually assaulting seven teenage girls to return home in time for the holidays.
James William Swets, 46, is the son of noted sculptor William Swets, whose family owns and operates the whimsical Swetsville Zoo in Timnath that features dozens of creatures welded from metal.
Swets pleaded not guilty to 16 counts of sex assault in Larimer County Court Tuesday. His case is set for a jury trial in May.
