MIAMI — The wish for a quieter Christmas Eve morning in the 1300 block of Northwest 66th Street turned deadly Saturday when a man allegedly stabbed the neighbor who asked him to turn down loud music, Miami Police said.

Phillip Arthur, 24, died moments after arriving at Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Unit from Liberty City, police said.

Taken into custody: Dorian W. Hinkson, 51. Police said they recovered the weapon and were Saturday afternoon continuing to investigate.

A Miami Police statement said that at about 9:30 a.m., "Hinkson became enraged after Arthur told him to lower the music because his wife was trying to sleep. Hinkson grabbed a knife and stabbed Arthur once in the chest in front of his children and wife in the courtyard of the complex.''

Both men lived in Liberty Square, a public housing development known as Pork 'n Beans.
