No, this isn't one of those annoying emails that you must forward to 20 people immediately or within one hour all of your pubic hair will fall out..

I saw this in the hospital last week and have been trying to remember it ever since.
I believe Mother Theresa wrote it.

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is bliss, taste it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.

I don't know why I posted this...life can be brutal and downright depressing at times.

I guess the author is saying that life can be both good and bad, deal with it

Life is usually what you make it, I guess it depends on your optimism.

I find that life is a lot of things...it's not complete bliss and it's not a thing to dread either...at times it can give you a fair measure of both though,
until you feel you might break apart into a million pieces

I think ive been to all of those places, but I choose to look on the bright side of things, Im fairly happy with the way my life is running at the moment, there are things I would change if I could but I think thats true for most people.

Life to me is both long and short..each year feels like time is running out faster, yet sometimes it feels like I've been here for a thousand years

Life is about making a difference, and lifting up those who have fallen down.

I've had a shitload of crap hoisted on me lately - that's why my usually infrequent visits are even more infrequent. Aunt dies, Guinea Pig dies, brother gives me a scathing e-mail and basically disowns me, lots of projects hoisted on me.

But it's all in how you deal with it. Don't let it change the core of YOU.

To paraphrase an REM song, Life is a rich pageant. In order to be rich, there has to be good and bad. And to quote another song (Rod Stewart this time) "Make the best out of the bad, laugh it off. You didn't ask to come here anyway."

Actually, my cousin had a great idea for my aunt's funeral -- he had everyone give him 5 words to describe her and he compiled them all into a "wordle" at the service....here it is - my aunt Edna (died at age 93):

2 hours before her death, she put out on Facebook "Still in the land of the living." as she knew we were all worried because she was in hospital. She had, 1 hour before she died had completed a Words With Friends with me and said "Still copus mentus". Amazing lady.

We should all be so lucky as to have such nice things said about us when we're gone:
