Daniel Hall, accused of sexually abusing his infant daughter while his wife took pictures, is the son of convicted rapist Jack Hall

MT. MORRIS, Michigan -- Daniel Hall, the man charged this week with sexually abusing his infant daughter while his wife took pictures, is the son of Jack D. Hall, convicted in the 1999 rape and attempted murder of two 8- and 14-year-old girls in Vienna Township and in the kidnapping of a woman in 1993, officials said.
Jack Hall is serving a life prison sentence, according to state corrections records.
He surrendered to police on July 28, 1999 after two days of hiding in tunnels and creek beds in a large wooded area near his mother's home in Thetford Township, according to Flint Journal archives.
He had been the focus of a manhunt that began after two Clio-area sisters were forced at knife-point into woods near of a bike trail in Vienna Township.
Before surrendering to Genesee County Sheriff Robert Pickell, Hall ambushed a female deputy, stole her weapon, engaged in a shootout with police and escaped into the woods, according to Journal files.
Jack Hall was then explored as a suspect in the slayings of two other women and was found guilty of a 1993 kidnapping, according to corrections records.
Mt. Morris Police Chief Keith Becker and Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton said Jack Hall was the father of Daniel Hall, who was arraigned Tuesday along with his wife on sexual assault and child pornography charges.
Police found 745 images of child pornography on computers at the couple's Roosevelt Avenue home in Mt. Morris, Becker said.
Another 13 images showed Daniel Hall engaging in sexual acts with his daughter, who was 6-months-old when the photos were taken several months ago, the chief said.
Police believe his wife Alisha Hall, who is 7-months pregnant, took the photos.
"It's a very disturbing set of facts," Leyton said. "It's as bad as anything I've ever been presented with."
Daniel Hall, 25, was charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography and using a computer in the commission of a crime, according to court records.
He is being is being held at Genesee County Jail on $750,000 bond.
Alisha Hall, 26, was charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct and possession of child pornography and is being held on $500,000 bond, records show.
They each face up to life in prison.
It wasn't clear whether either suspect had obtained attorneys.
A preliminary exam is set for Feb. 14.
