Obamanomics 101: Unemployment stimulates the economy

This evening, speaking at North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina, White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett said that folks getting and spending unemployment checks is a healthy thing . . . because it stimulates the economy:

"Even though we had a terrible economic crisis three years ago, throughout our country many people were suffering before the last three years, particularly in the black community," Jarrett said. "And so we need to make sure that we continue to support that important safety net. It not only is good for the family, but it's good for the economy. People who receive that unemployment check go out and spend it and help stimulate the economy, so that's healthy as well."

Plus all the people they have to hire at the agency to cut those checks create new jobs :roll:

Get everyone on the government tit long enough to where they'll be scared to lose it and they will vote however you tell them.

For example, try and balance Medicare and "you're killing grandma!". Try and balance Social Security and "they're taking the food off grandma's table!" Try and require drug tests for government assistance and "you hate the poor and downtrodden!" Require ID to vote in an election and "you're putting undue burden on the poor!"

Yeah, sounds very familiar - but then when Obama actually does go and cut the funding mechanism for social security, in effect actually "taking money from grandma" (best friend's gram got told by ss recently they were going to cut 300 a MONTH from her SS because of 'cutbacks' and 'funding problems') and
