Jesse Jackson: It's an 'Honor' to Be 'Food-Stamp President'

Presidential contender Newt Gingrich has slammed President Barack Obama as a “food-stamp president,” but the Rev. Jesse Jackson says that it is an honor, not an insult.

When Gingrich labeled Obama “the best food-stamp president in American history,” he clearly meant that as a negative. But Jackson, speaking at his regular Saturday service at the Rainbow PUSH headquarters in Chicago, had a different take.


“It’s an honor to be a food-stamp president. Food stamps feed the hungry. Food stamps feed the children. Food stamps help the farmer,” the civil rights leader declared. “Food stamps help the truck driver. Food stamps help the warehouse. Food stamps help the store. Food stamps hire people and feed people. Food stamps save people from starvation and malnutrition."

“Whenever you attack feeding the hungry, you undermine the moral authority of our faith,” Jackson said.

Let's follow that line of logic a bit further

Being the "puppy-kicking" president would also be a good thing.

Kicking puppies is a form of exercise. The squeaks they make as you punt them off a busy overpass is just adorable. The bloody mess they leave on a motorist's windshield provides jobs. Puppies are adorable which causes us to despise someone who would kick them thus bringing us together as a people. Kicking a puppy helps to tenderize the meat which we can feed to the hungry... :roll:

Ya know what...Hilter was an excellent public speaker. Let's focus on that and less on his other quirks
