FORT WALTON BEACH - A man accused of trespassing says he was merely following orders from a higher authority.
On Feb. 22 Fort Walton Beach Police were called by a woman, who said a man had just broken into her house. She said she was outside when another member of the household came out to tell her a man had crawled through a window in their Florida room. She said the man was a former acquaintance and that he was not invited to enter her home.
When she asked him what he was doing in her house, the man replied he'd been told by God to come there. Then, he left.
As the officer was investigating the case, the woman got a call from a friend who said she'd seen the man walking down the street. The officer canvassed the area and found the man, placing him under arrest.
He was charged with trespassing.
