I think gas stations hope people just pull in and don't pay attention to the price. On one corner down the street from my apartment, there is a Conoco station that has gas at $3.59/gallon. Then just 3 blocks down the road there's a Diamond Shamrock station with gas at $3.43/gallon.

:wtf:

I don't think the gas stations set the prices themselves. I think it depends on who they get their gas from.

Like GF said, it's about 1.35 a litre...$5 + a gallon.

I can travel 10km south, hand my passport to a man or woman in a uniform, tell him or her where I'm going, why and what I do for a living, go 'round 2 roundabouts then fill up in Washington state for $3.77 a gallon, then drive back and tell a man or woman in a different uniform that I bought gas, open my back door so she can see I have nothing inside and drive home...

It's worth the 15 minutes or so of my time...

At first 3 of 6. Then I backed up and took out two more so there were no witnesses. The good news is together they had enough money in their pockets to cover my fuel + a pack of cigs and a pop. If I wouldn't have gotten the gas so cheap I would have had to leave the pop on the shelf.

I used to get some of my fuel for free. When cars got towed in because the customer filled a diesel car with petrol, we drained it and put it in a "temporary mixed fuels container" (aka empty 5 gallon drums thet used toi be full of transmission oil). To determine how contaminated the petrol was, we'd pour some on the floor and set fire to it. If it was good, it went in my car because everyone else didn't want to put it in their cars because they were fucking retarded but if it wasn't good, it went in the actual mixwd fuels container.
