A Frankfort woman in police custody told officers she had four syringes, a large spoon and a clear plastic bag hidden in her vagina, a Frankfort Police official said.

Police arrested Carlie R. Foreman, 23, of the 22900 block of South Pfeiffer Road, on Sunday, March 11, on drug charges.

Foreman was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug equipment, driving under the influence of drugs and improper lane use. She is in the Will County Jail on $250 bail. Her next court date is March 19.

Police pulled over Foreman in her white Chevrolet Cavalier in the 9400 block of Laraway Road after another driver called 911. That driver told police he had almost been hit twice by Foreman and began following her, said Cmdr. Kevin Keegan.

The officer questioning Foreman claimed nervously fidgeted in the car, reaching over to the passenger-side seat and slurring her speech. Foreman said she had not been drinking, and field sobriety tests indicated she didn't seem to be under the influence of alcohol, Keegan said. When an officer asked her about drug use, specifically heroin, Foreman said she was clean now, Keegan added.

Foreman allowed police to search her car, and they found two pills of lorazepam, a prescription anti-anxiety medication, Keegan said. She was taken into custody after she told police she didn't have a prescription for the pills and that they belonged to a friend, Keegan added.

At the police station, Foreman's nervous condition worsened, her speech became more slurred, and she appeared to be trying to conceal something, Keegan said. An officer also observed marks on her arm that were consistent with needle marks from intravenous drug use, he added. Foreman asked to use the bathroom and was told that a female officer had to be present, and she couldn't flush the toilet.

Denied the privacy of the toilet, Foreman finally told police she had the following items in her vagina:

four orange needle syringes, one with the cap off
a large spoon
a clear plastic bag
a cap from one of the syringes

A brown residue believed to be heroin was on one of the needles, and police are still waiting for the crime lab analysis on it, Keegan said. Foreman told police the bag had contained heroin, but there was no indication of that at the time, Keegan added.

Foreman didn't explain why she hid these items in her vagina, and police don't know when she put them there, Keegan said.

Despite the contraband in her body cavity, Foreman did not require medical attention, Keegan said.
