started the day early with The Pickled Beats playing bawdy Irish Pub tunes around 2 O'Clock while saving a front row slot for the parade.
was conveniently peeing when the transformer blew above the area I would have been crowded into showering sparks into the herds. (I wonder if the "DeathMobile" from Animal House that preceded the festivities had any bearing?)

.38 Special went on stage around 8:00 playing their set of token compilations, but soon realized this was a large crowd reminiscent of their heyday.
...I think they liked us.
