Driver arrested for operating while intoxicated

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Fort Wayne Police have two people in custody after they allegedly drove a car with four children strapped to the hood.
Police said around 5:30 Monday evening, someone called 911 to report that a male and female had strapped the kids to the hood and left the Belmont Beverage parking lot at 2116 Fairfield Ave. Shortly after that, a U.S. Marshal saw the vehicle driving near the intersection of Fairfield and Poplar Streets.
The marshal pulled over the vehicle and Fort Wayne Police were called to the scene.
Officers arrested the male driver for operating while intoxicated. The female was taken into police custody for questioning.
None of the children - ages 4, 5, 6, and 7 - appeared to be hurt. Child Protective Services was called in.
