PALMETTO — A Ruskin couple left their child locked in a car while they went inside a strip club, deputies said.
Israel Rangel-Ortiz and Edith Aguilar-Cardona, both 25, of 2113 SE 11th Ave. in Ruskin, were charged with child neglect, according to a report from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Early Sunday morning, the husband and wife went to Pandora's Box at 3824 U.S. 41 N, bought drinks, purchased a lap dance and used the restroom, a witness told deputies.
In the parking lot, someone spotted the child in the car. The child, whose age was not given, began asking where the parents were, the report said.
Aguilar-Cardona told deputies she was inside for 20 minutes. She apologized and promised not take her child there again.
Witnesses said the couple was in the club for an hour before arrested by deputies at 1:57 a.m.
