INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Police are looking for a woman they say attacked and robbed her disabled mother.

On May 18, 28-year-old Jessica Strahl went to her mom’s house around 2 p.m. asking her for money. Strahl told her mother there were people after her for money, according to an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department report.

When the mom refused to give Strahl money, Strahl pushed her mother to the ground and ripped two gold necklaces from her neck, IMPD officials said. Strahl also took her mother’s cane so the woman couldn’t come after her.

Strahl’s mother is a double amputee who walks with a cane. She suffered injuries to her arm and back as a result of the altercation.

Officers said Strahl left the home in a red pickup truck with tinted windows. Someone else was driving. Strahl then pawned the necklaces.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Strahl is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS. She’s wanted on a warrant for robbery, a Class C felony.
