Lindsay Lohan reportedly hospitalized after car crash

SANTA MONICA, Calif. — Police say they are investigating a car crash involving actress Lindsay Lohan on coastal highway near Los Angeles.

Santa Monica Police Sgt. Candice Cobarrubias says Lohan was involved in a crash around 11:45 a.m. on the Pacific Coast Highway.

Lohan was driving her Porsche when it slammed into the the rear of a semi truck, TMZ is reporting. Lohan’s black Porsche was totaled.

Officers continue to investigate the accident and do not know the extent of Lohan’s injuries.

Lindsay Lohan went to the emergency room of a Los Angeles hospital, but her condition was not immediately available, according to TMZ.

Cobarrubias says no one else was injured in the crash and that police would not immediately release any other details.

The actress was driving with her assistant at the time of the crash, reports Hollyscoop.com.

"I just spoke to her, she's doing fine," a source tells Hollyscoop of Lohan. The assistant suffered minor injuries, including bruises and "some bleeding," according to Hollyscoop, but both were conscious after the accident.

That actually doesn't look too bad....my 72 Dodge Coronet had the front bumper folded up to the windshield. And that car was about 19 feet of good ol Detroit sheet metal...
