Remember Paris Hilton? Well, the heiress turned reality star is back, except now she’s trying her hand at being a deejay. Hilton played an hour-long set at the Pop Music Festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil, this weekend that promptly began trending on Twitter after seemingly everyone began panning her performance.
A sampling of what folks are saying:
–”[Hilton] goes to introduce her new Afrojack-produced single ‘Last Night’, she actually proceeds to play Rihanna’s ‘We Found Love’ at the same time, leading to the most muddled mash-up of all time.” [NME]
–”Paris Hilton did a little DJ gig to thousands of fans in Brazil last night – only, she seemed to enjoy it a little more than they did.” [Mirror]
“[W]hile we don’t want to bash someone’s effort, her set was … not very good. We have our video of her pouting over the console busting out some weird dance moves (which we think, she reckons are sexy; they are not) right after the jump so you can see what we’re talking about.” [VH1]
There were a few positive notices about her show–mostly from friends of Hilton, and from Hilton herself. She tweeted “Wow! What an incredible night! So happy you all loved my set! Loved watching you all smile & dance! One of the best night’s of my life!”
