The East Stroudsburg man says he was grooming his private parts, not purposely exposing them to a truck driver

An East Stroudsburg man says he wasn't committing a lewd act while driving last year, he was just doing a little grooming.

Forty-eight-year-old Guy Labar, a Bethlehem Area School District employee, was accepted into a program for first-time offenders Tuesday.

The Morning Call of Allentown reports Labar allegedly exposed himself to a truck driver on October 24 while driving on Route 33, speeding up and slowing down as the trucker did.

Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli says Labar's attorney explained the incident as "manscaping" gone wrong.

"The witness didn't see any manscaping going on," Assistant District Attorney Patricia Mulqueen told The Morning Call.

Defense attorney James Swetz says "looks can be deceiving."

The indecent exposure case will be dropped if he successfully completes the program.

Labar has resigned from his position with the school district, according to The Call.
