Fox News reporter Greg Palkot was hospitalized after being severely beaten by Egyptian protesters. Olaf Wiig, a producer for Fox News, was also reported as having been taken to the hospital after suffering a beating, as well.

Greg Palkot’s colleague, John Roberts, explained what happened to his co-workers. He said that Palkot and Wiig were forced to leave their location, when an Egyptian protester threw a Molotov cocktail at them. It caused a large fire to erupt.

Palkot and Wiig fled the scene, but they ran straight into a pro-Mubarak crowd, which resulted in them being severely beaten. They were both taken to the hospital where both Greg Palkot and Olaf Wiig spent the night.

Their condition was reported as grave; however, they were released after a their night in the hospital. Why would the Egyptian hospital report their condition as grave but still release the Fox News’ employees?

Journalists who are foreign to Egypt have been under attack. Anderson Cooper has suffered an attack twice, while CBS’ Lara Logan was detained by the Egyptian police. Katie Couric and Christiane Amanpour were ambushed by pro-Mubarak protesters.

Shouldn’t there be a call for America and other foreign news reporters to retreat from Cairo, Egypt? This is getting ridiculous, especially now that Greg Palkot has been hospitalized with his producer for severe injuries. What do you think?

The CBS reporter Katie Couric had a run-in with angry protestors. The Egypt pro-Mubarak mob swarmed Couric as she was desperately trying to do an interview with CBS.

Now, Anderson Cooper has been attacked twice in one week. The American reporters must high-tail it out of Egypt and fast.

As you can see in video below Katie Couric was roughed up by protesters as she tried to air a news’ piece. Couric was obviously nervous with the angry mob swarming her.

The cameraman lost Couric amongst the angry Egyptian protestors, and the piece was restarted. Katie Couric moved to a new location without so many protestors, but they once again began to swarm all over Couric. Fortunately, the reporter and her CBS team walked away uninjured.

Wow! America needs to pull out of Egypt. First Anderson Cooper gets attacked, then Katie Couric gets swarmed by the angry protestors, and then Christiane Amanpour gets attacked and then forced to leave the area of the protest. Now, Anderson Cooper is attacked again as he announced on Twitter today. What will happen next if America's reporters don't leave Egypt?

Popular CNN host Anderson Cooper was attacked again in Egypt. He was hit at least 10 times in the face yesterday while trying to cover the escalating violence in Cairo. CNN released the footage of yesterday’s attack. However, today, the silver fox was attacked for the second day in a row.

Cooper tweeted to alert fans that he was okay after the second attack. He wrote, “Situation on ground in #egypt very tense. Vehicle I was in attacked. My window smashed. All ok.”

Wow! This is such a dangerous situation in Egypt. The protests are violent on both sides, and now it seems that the journalists are getting caught in the fray. There are some who believe that the reporters have become targets themselves, and these two attacks certainly appear to confirm that idea.

Despite the fact that he has been attacked twice, Anderson Cooper has said he is not going to leave the region. Do you think this is a smart plan on his or CNN's part? Perhaps this is a situation in which the journalists need to come back home. Obviously somebody needs to report on the chaos, but they shouldn't be risking their lives to do it.
