TEMPE, Ariz. -- Bath salts appear to have contributed to another bizarre arrest in the Valley.
Tempe Police were called on Tuesday night after Michael Anthony Hurtado, 20, was seen crashing his truck into the gate of a parking garage at 922 E. Apache.
Hurtado, who was completely naked, exited his vehicle after the accident and locked himself inside a U-Haul that was in the parking garage.
When officers arrived, Hurtado was reportedly acting irrationally, rambling, and kissing the steering wheel of the U-Haul.
Hurtado was taken into custody and placed in the back of a squad car, at which time he began kissing the cage inside the vehicle.
Hurtado would later admit to police that he had taken bath salts. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and then booked into jail.
Hurtado is now facing charges of criminal damage and criminal trespass. DUI charges are also pending.
