Joshua T. King was arrested Sunday morning after he was found inside a closet at First Baptist Church in Fort Lauderdale, reports the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
During Sunday School while the kids were in the playground area, teachers reportedly had asked the security guard to bring out some toys from a locked storage closet.
When the security guard unlocked the closet's door, he smelled something foul and then spotted urine in the basket of the kids' tricycle," the report states.
According to the report, King told authorities he was in the closet "hiding from people" when he felt the need to relieve himself. Opting to stay hidden in the closet, he peed in the tricycle basket.
King, 25, was found with multiple driver licenses in his name from two states and also a pair of scissors — which he said he was going to use to cut his clothes, according to the report.
Later, in an exchange with a judge inside a courtroom, King maintained his innocence, saying that he "didn't break in, the door was open."
"Clearly he doesn't know the elements to burglary," the judge said in response.
