WESLEY CHAPEL — A 28-year-old who tried to back out of a "transsexual escort meeting" was beaten and chased by two men, authorities said.

The victim answered a Craigslist ad and showed up at a house at 32052 Northridge Drive in Wesley Chapel at 8 a.m. Friday, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. Although authorities said the ad was for a transsexual encounter, the victim was upset when the person who answered the door was a man and not a woman, a report states. So the victim said he was leaving and the men in the house — Stacey Miller, 24, and Chad Battle, 23, who are domestic partners — blocked the door, beat the victim, sprayed him with pepper spray and chased him once he escaped, the report said.

Both men were arrested Friday and charged with false imprisonment and attempted robbery. They were released from the Pasco jail Saturday on $10,000 bail. The duo made headlines in May when, during a fight, Miller threatened Battle with a gun and then, after Battle left, Miller barricaded himself in their attic and had a three-house standoff with the SWAT team, authorities said. Miller was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, though the charge was later dropped, court records state.
