Yep, I've got a solid resume... took it to the university career center and my dad (who hires professionals all the time) and got them to give input. I think it's quite strong, but it's hard when you just finished University. There's not a whole helluva lot to put on the thing after being in school and working relatively trivial jobs the entire time.

But I guess prospective employers recognize that. Gotta start somewhere

Just make sure to soak it in soapy water first or you'll get the gunk from the rubber end of your squeegy all over your shower walls. Then you'll have to do it all over again... which I know absolutely nothing about.

I just signed up for my firearm safety course that will allow me to own and operate restricted and non-restricted firearms :D :D :D

This time in a month or so I'll hopefully be starting my collection!

I am a little timid though.. I only have a few friends who collect guns so in terms of the know-how I'll be relying mostly on the internet for things like repairs and learning how to sight new optics. But I think it's the start of a life-long hobby :mrgreen:

I'm going to have to keep an eye out for one in Vancouver! I think I just need to go and put my hands on dozens of different pieces and see what fits and what I like. I think I'm going to start with a .22, maybe a Mossberg or Ruger 10-22

Again though, I have no idea how to mount and sight a weaver scope. But that will just make it a really interesting project

Nah. I could see how you'd think that though. hahaha.I was still gonna go to Odessa and Bakersfield, but we don't know what exact day the trip to Columbia will be. Waiting on the customer to decide. The other two trips stateside would have been just day trips, easy money. The trip to Columbia may be a week or so. It's a new rig startup, and the Electricians that are already there are having some problems with the wiring of third party equipment. I'm gonna go help them figure it out, then do my normal startup stuff.

Yesterday was a long ass day. 18 hrs or so, 730 miles driving (round trip) 4hrs working. The plus side is as of Wed evening, I was on overtime, so made good $$ yesterday. Today I'm at the office (still on OT) just farting around doing nothing.

Then I get a call...my friend's sister was murdered.She was a social worker and one of her clients who is mentally unstable killed her.She was a very nice lady...a horrible event.

The interview went marginally... I did the very best I could. Interviews usually go well for me but this one was tough.

This guy was an awkward interviewer :lol: He didn't ask any of the typical interview questions... he just pointed to things on my resume and asked "what's this." A few times he asked about the same point over again. I had to start spinning his awkward questions into answers that sold myself.

He didn't like that I was taking a finance course not directly related to his industry, and thought it meant I would leave his company. Another sticking point was that while it said 'entry level position' and he complained that the insurance industry was filled with old men, he wanted someone with more experience :wha: Pretty sure he thought I looked young.

I turned it around and told him why I was still a strong candidate and that the industry needed to allow fresh faces like me a chance to prove myself... blah blah blah. He liked my answers but remained a straight faced dude. Really hard to read.

Aaaanyways, enough bitching. Who knows if the job and I are best for each other. Jokes about me getting a job aside, I'm not desperate. Nice to get an interview though, loved that opportunity!! Each one gets easier and better. :thumbsup:
