I'm taking Claritin every 36 hours right now, seems to be holding the worst of it at bay for now. I was trying to put it off as long as possible, but it got unbearable for me so I started on the pills early this year. I'm so glad they aren't as bad as yours bud.

I'm taking 24hour zertec twice daily and benadryl allergy on top of that. It's barely taking the edge off and I'm getting worse every day. I need to get into the doc now because by the end of the week I will likely end up with bronchitis.

How long is it good for/effective is the shot?

It's cortizone into the muscle and usually a B12 shot as well, typically will get me through the season (first frost). It becomes a little less effective every year though. I try to avoid getting one in the spring and really don't want to get more than one in the fall.
It really is a "last resort" measure that can cause muscle and tissue damage.

Yep. Usually one shot though will get me through the worst of it, symptoms start coming back after 6 weeks or so but I typically can manage to get through til frost. I've e-mailed our sales rep....and as for the guy that signed for the shipment, not his fault, there are 5 plates all stacked up on each other and they each weigh about 300lbs, it would be a bitch to unstrap the load and then inspect every plate. It wasn't the shipped that fucked these up, it was the aluminum supplier.

Got a good day of rest yesterday. Now going to take dogs to vet. (way overdue), called hvac company to line up installation, still have to clean work truck, and wash clothes. Tomorrow will be remodel day, as I have some sub flooring underneath carpet in guest bedroom and hallway that has to be replaced due to water leaks from old washing machine and hvac system. Dunno when I'll go back to work yet.
This last job kicked my but. 33 days with 2 off (non consecutive) and final tally is 405 hours.
