That one was a real bitch, we're supplied with the file for the single blade and then I had to sit down and lay it all out like shown in that bottom pic above, making sure to get as many blades out of the plate of steel. Luckily this is a repeat customer, so we just call up the saved file now, but including the lead ins and lead outs (where the machine pierces the material to start the cut and then where it ends) and getting everything laid out, it took me 3 or 4 hours to get it programmed right.

They are almost all real grass. Only played on synthetic a couple of times the whole time she's been playing. Played one game on synthetic this spring season and it was the first time in 2 years that we had been on synthetic.

Why did the clubs revert to grass?

The answer is simple, because of growing concerns that it gave the home team an unfair advantage and complaints from those within the game.

QPR were the first to get rid of theirs, in 1988. Preston were the last, ripping up the plastic at Deepdale in 1994. A year later artificial pitches were banned from English professional football.

I think also the players themselves would far rather play on grass than turf purely down to there being a bit more 'give' on a grass surface in general meaning less strain on joints and less injuries etc. The newer pitches are of course far better than the ones back in the late 80's/early 90's. McDiarmid Park, Perth (St Johnstone's home ground) has an artificial surface right next to the stadium which you can rent - i played on it a number of times when i was younger and it was pretty unforgiving back then, any sliding tackles pretty much ripped your flesh open :lol: I reckon a lot of is down to that perception of it being a lot harder on the body whereas the truth is that the newer 4g pitches are probably a lot better than a mediocre grass pitch in terms of the potential injuries you can sustain. Nothing will ever compete with a beautiful, lush grass surface though........ put the sprinklers on for ten mins before a game and it's great to play on! :)

My little sister graduated from UNT Saturday morning at 8am which is about 45 minutes from our house. Had to leave the house around 7am to get there, park and find seats on a damn Saturday.
