My dads new laptop is being delivered today, how do i go about swapping over his firefox profile? Is it simply a case of going into the settings on the old one and "saving" it to a firefox "cloud" then restoring on the new one? :-k

Cool :tup: Hopefully shouldnt take too long to set up then, just be a case of doing the Win10 initial setup and transfering a few things over. Thankfully they dont really use many programs so all itll really need is FF, old faithful Office Blue edition which i have on a "programs" flashdrive (dad uses office for bowls stuff) and an AV :) No doubt there will be plenty of teething problems since Win7 is all theyve ever used :lol:

Win10 is so close to Win7 in look and feel that I don't think it will be too hard for them really. I was a little apprehensive about Win10 at first, but you can tweak a few things and it is basically a lot like Win7. I really like it. Glad I completely skipped over Win8.

I've gotten to the point where I think I enjoy the school activities.. Everyone seems so happy and proud to have you there..

Sometimes, not always. And the displays I saw yesterday showed that a lot of parents don't give a fuck about their kids. Yesterday was the last phase in their 8th grade project which counts for 33% of their grade. They've been working on them since September and some of them looked like they were thrown together the night before.

Yeah, she's 14. And she wasn't all in to start. She really dragged her feet and didn't want to do it because it was out of her comfort zone. But, once she finally got started after we kept prodding her and reminding her that she would end up in summer school if she failed :lol: she did a very good job and we are really proud of her.

It's the age.. One piece of advice if I can give.. And you kind of already hit on it.. These kids go through a period in life where they know everything and anything you say is wrong or stupid.. They will push you away, they will rebel.. It truly is just a phase that will pass.. Try your best to manage through it and most importantly try not to say anything too harsh. It will pass.. Usually when they come out the other side they realize how shitty they were and they will appreciate you for the meddle you had.. You dont know how many days I just grit my teeth and power through.. :lol:

My mother was forced to work 2 and 3 jobs sometimes to make ends meet and I was tasked with taking care of my brother and doing quote a bit around the house. I did these things without needing to be asked because I knew they had to be done. And I expect her to feel the same way, but it's a different time and situation. But I'm still trying to instill in her the fact that she needs to be aware of everything around her, not just her little sphere most of the time.

If you have something on an open plate that would splatter, then you cover your plate with it to keep the microwave clean. Well, it was filthy yesterday and I know she was the last one to use it the day before, it was splattered with sauce from the lasagna she ate. The wife pulled it out and I said it was her, it was the kid. And she looked flabbergasted and said "it was already a little dirty before I used it."

Was playing footy with friends and just collapsed, got rushed to hospital and straight into the OR, one side of his heart was blocked so they fitted a stent and hes good as new now. Just lucky it didnt happen when he was at home alone!

I knew an electrician who had a similar episode. He was about 75 lbs overweight, smoked like a chimney and was fortunate to be with a group of people when his heart gave out.

:| that park used to be my sanctuary...

The gays were actually run out of the park by the police :lol: Not for just being gay, they often had relations there which angered the other users of the park.

I guess the gay folk would go into the cookshacks where there were little firepits and seating areas to have sex. Families would come in to cook burgers and weenies...and see other types of weenies :shock:

I went there last summer a couple of times and now the place is overrun by families or groups...often 20-50 people at picnic spots or cookshacks :x
And to get my Archie Bunker on, these huge groups always consist of non-white faces.

I used to be such a liberal
