I think my phone's drunk........ went to take an image of a car to send by email - battery was at 51% then my phone suddenly switched itself off. Turned it back on and it was at 3% :drunk:

Got a new battery sitting at home, just havent gotten around to fitting it yet as it looks like a PITA :| Samsung S6, had it a few years now

Maybe it's time for e new phone since the S10's will be coming out soon. Could upgrade to an S8 pretty reasonably I would imagine :-k

Yeah, i could - thing is my current contract costs £12 per month for unlimited texts and calls plus 16gb data allowance, moving up to one of the newer samsungs would cost me £40 or £50 per month, thats the only reason im reluctant to upgrade :wha:

This phone does all i need it to do so hopefully a new battery and maybe a factory reset will get it running well again..... if it doesnt then i suppose ill have to bite the bullet.

Plus ive always kept this phone inside a fully waterproof/shockproof case (kinda required in my line of work :lol: ) so its still like new underneath :)

Even after uninstalling the last few apps I had downloaded before it started to happen, it wouldn't stop draining. The reset helped and fixed the problem, but it's a pain in the ass getting the phone back set-up the way it was before the reset.

No, I backed up what I could just using the Samsung account and the Google backup. That should get most of your apps back when you reset it.

Do you use a stock launcher or do use use something else like Nova? If you're using a third party launcher like Nova (which I use) you can back-up those settings and they can then be brought back after the reset. I didn't realize that before I reset my phone though :doh:

It's just what handles everything from the desktop, icons, layout, cool stuff. I like it because it's way more customizable than the stick launcher. Just look it up (Nova Launcher) in the play store to find out more about it
