dunno for sure. The quote this time was for 2 weeks, but there's no real way I can be done in that time. They still don't have all the equipment here. I'd say all the modifications are about 90% done, but that still leaves all the normal testing and calibration stuff which usually takes me about 3-4 days, but like I said, a lot of the equipment isn't here yet. Will work around the missing stuff as good as I can, and see how it goes.

Well, at least I have an explanation as to why my boss was being an extra asshole over some scrapped parts this morning....I can laugh about it because it's funny. :lol:

Well, I knew he was bringing some bad parts back from a customer, so I expected him to be upset when he arrived, but when he got here, he threw the parts on the floor (aluminum on a concrete floor, not exactly quiet) and proceeded to yell at the machinist. Then he came upstairs and yelled at me about it and we were having a pretty decent argument over basically about $500 worth of scrap (it's not small change, but we've had waaaaaaaaay worse). Then he stormed off. After awhile he came back upstairs and just sat at his PC all quiet and finally he told me what happened on the way back from the customer.

He got nailed by a speed trap and he got a ticked for speeding (53 in a 40), no proof of insurance, no seat belt, and one other thing he said that I can't remember now. :lol:

The engineer who designed them called for using aluminum c-channel, but he didn't know it was gonna look like it does, so that makes it my fault :roll:

He had to fly to Seattle on the upcoming weekend, find a postal plant and relabel about 15000 individual packages before the postal forwarders could release the packages.He was volunteered to do it and had to go alone because of some numpty shipper who makes 12 bucks an hour :lol:

The Rite wasn't really all that good. I've not seen Hanna, but since I already know about The Rite... I'd suggest Hanna instead.

Yeah, The Rite was kind of a letdown from what I was expecting. Hanna was good, but the plot is full of holes. Still enjoyable though.

In the interim from my last post a truck arrived here from the states.Our normal receiver guy tells me he can't get the freight off the truck.I look and see that there's a gap of about 6 inches from the back of the trailer to where the floor starts inside the trailer.Where the floor starts there's a 2 inch rise of metal, 90 degrees to the floor.

We have hard plastic wheels on our lifts, like skateboard wheels only ours are worth 1400 bucks.I tell the driver that I can't get into his truck, he'll have to take a pallet jack and bring the skids to he back and I'll pick them off with the lift.

his responses -
I just drove 14 hours man
I'm sick
I haven't slept
I haven't had lunch
I'll have to call my boss so he can pay me more to do this (operate a fucking pallet jack)

So while he's bitching I find 2 x 4's and 1 x 8's and build a bridge from his shitty trailer to my ramp.

Then he says - Oh no, there's 18 pallets in there..I'll have a nap in the trailer while you unload.
It takes me a grand total of 8 minutes to offload that many pallets.

So long story short, he comes in here on MY LUNCH BREAK and does nothing but whine about how HIS trailer is fucked
and he ends up not lifting a finger while I cater to him.

Then as he leaves - Thanks buddy...you guys got different forklifts up here (meaning Canada), that's why you had so much trouble getting into my trailer.
I would have had trouble riding a fucking bicycle with pneumatic tires into that bastardized trailer ffs :lol:

Al put up what looked like he was being put out, but you know deep down inside that he did want the Preacher there.
