Yea, I think too many would be a pain, especially in inner cities where there's a light every block. Just would not make sense there. Get out in the outer suburbs though where traffic is lighter and everything's spaced out a bit then I think they work well.

It's the Greenies pushing for them, savings on fuel etc.

I am about 1.5 miles from the interstate....I need to go thru 7 sets of lights to get on the highway in the morning :|

I'm less that a mile and have to go through a stop sign into a busy cross street (right now the snow is piled so high at the intersection you have to just gun it and hope for the best) and 4 poorly timed lights. Half my travel time is in the first mile.
