PHOENIX -- The Mesa woman accused of stabbing her husband during an argument over a quiz in Cosmopolitan magazine has formally denied the allegations.
Noelle Clough, 22, entered a not guilty plea on Thursday morning to a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Clough is due back in court on October 2.
Clough was arrested back in June after she and her husband started arguing about the quiz in Cosmopolitan, and then ex-lovers.
Clough reportedly told police that her husband threw two knives on the floor and told her to stab him. She allegedly wound up stabbing her spouse in the back with a 4-inch blade as he was walking away.
Clough told police that her husband had choked her during their argument, but officers didn’t find any visible injuries.
The husband wasn’t seriously injured by the knife.
Police said the couple had been drinking prior to getting into their fight.
