*THERE WILL BE HUGE SPOILERS IN THIS THREAD...EVEN IF I'M THE ONLY ONE WHO POSTS HERE*

ok BB fans...the end is coming to a most wonderful TV series. Make your predictions about who lives and/or what happens in the final 8 episodes, to be aired next summer.

Are these gonna be spoilers you have read online or purely speculation on your part?

If it's speculation, I'll play along, but if it's stuff from online, I don't wanna know.

I don't read or pay attention to online spoilers/predictions :hand:

as with BSG, my posts contain only my speculation

There is a good forum that has recaps of the BB episodes after they air, then the people chat about what they think will happen. Pretty much what we do here. They don't allow spoilers or links to 'secret scripts' etc.

Let's chat about karma for a moment....online, a guy listed all of the crappy things Walt has done since day one. Everything from the lying to the killing...I won't link, but I do agree with his observations. After Walt paid for his initial cancer treatment, there was really no reason to continue cooking meth other than greed and his ego.

Yet we as viewers still want to see Walt come out on top (or I do at least...)

I guess a simple question would be - Will Walt survive to see the final minutes of the season? If he dies, you'd think it would occur in episode 16 (final episode)...

Obviously it's going to be something to do with a major, major shootout.

Time wise I'm just trying to figure it all out... at the start of season 5 it flashes forward to Walt on his 52nd birthday buying an M60 at a diner. The season then returns to 'present' just before Walt's 51st birthday (remember the bacon on the plate). I think around 3-6 months pass in the 8 episodes of Season 5 because there are a couple references to how much time passes.

Either way, obviously Walt stays free/alive long enough to grow a beard and make it to his next birthday. That doesn't bode well for Hank perhaps?

the M60 is to take out Skylar

I hope Walt teaches Flynn the blue crystal creation bidness and then he can take over for the offshoot series :)

My theory on the gun? For the flash forward segment at the start of the season, Walt was out of town (possibly out of state too? I don't remember exactly) and looking to buy heavy weaponry. I think that he's been found out by Hank and the DEA and that he is on the run and he is planning a 'showdown' with them a la the ending of Scarface.

Jesse kills Walt. Possibly after finding about the Lily of the Valley poisoning?

No matter how it ends, the show has been consistently excellent and it will forever occupy my top x* list of tv series.

I agree with Lamb....I think Jesse will be the one to end Walt's life.

Or the producers will monitor the various predictions and do something like a happy ending with Walt moving to the Bahamas and Jesse teaching kids or similar

You know, Walt has outsmarted everyone at every turn. He's been hard enough and cunning enough to win every time someone backs him against the wall. The Scarface comparison is brilliant... but I hope Walt actually survives with his money and his family intact

One blogger listed all of the shitty things that Walt has done, right down to the lying. It's strange how we still root for him  He's really a selfish character when you see it on paper.

some odds on who kills Walt ( made up by me )

Hank Schrader - 2 to 1
Jesse Pinkman - 3 to 1
Skyler White - 5 to 1
Walt Junior - 20 to 1
Gus Fring's enraged grandma 30 to 1
Ghost of Mike 100 to 1
cancer - 200 to 1

How about this....Walt's entire family dies in some horrible plot twist (meth lab blows up....)

and Walt has one last showdown with whomever... and wins using the M60

final scene is him sitting in the empty swimming pool with fat stacks of cash and he's crying...

If I may inject a bit of humour, and a bit of Canadiana in this thread...

Here's how I figure it will end :-k

They will show the final episode of this season, then there will be no new episodes after that. The End.

You have a bazillion dollars in cash....the DEA suspects you but doesn't have enough evidence to charge you...

why not get on a plane and go somewhere nice...forever?

Walt and Skyler lay low, Hank doesn't have enough to prosecute. They adopt Jesse and live happily ever after....until that fateful night when Skyler catches Jesse buggering Walt Junior, then the two lads have to admit their secret undying love for each other.

I just realized something...for a show where the main subject is the creation and distribution of meth...they've only really shown 4 tweakers all screwed up on the drug...

Tuco , the young guy Jesse convinced to start digging in the yard as a distraction and the whacked out couple that stole the ATM..

curious :-k
