US Presidential Race - post your fact checks!

There is a lot of bullshit going around and I thought we could use a thread where people could ask questions about things they have heard a candidate say or post legitimate fact checks.

I was trying to explain to someone today that the Obama people saying they "created 4.5 Million jobs" was complete and utter bullshit. I eventually stopped because they didn't understand how so many people at the convention could say it if it wasn't accurate. :|

So to get us started:

Claim: Obama claims to have added 4.5 million jobs.
Reality: According to CNN the number is about 300,000 since Obama took office

They are counting from January 2010 when the numbers turned positive, thus ignoring the first year of his presidency.

I watched most of the RNC, and some of the DNC (went out of town for works, so really only caught the first night of the DNC) IMHO, about half of what I heard during the RNC was questionable, but everything I heard Michelle say is utter BS, even according to her previous statements.

I didn't hear Clint's speech but admire his moxy...he said something similar to - In other jobs if the guy isn't doing what he promised, then we get rid of him.

So you hear both sides....Lefties say (and believe) that Obama has really improved things, righties say no, he's thrown the country into the toilet.


For us out of towners, we don't know what's really going on because the sources are so biased when they write anything :confused:
