A Gilbert woman is accused of having sex with the 15-year-old brother of her boyfriend while the boyfriend was in prison.
The boy's mother became suspicious that her son might be having an inappropriate relationship with a woman twice his age when she examined his cellphone, according to court records.
The mother reported her discovery to Gilbert police, who arrested Tanner Vicory, 31, on suspicion of 10 counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
The mother told police that she examined a pre-paid cellphone that Vicory gave to her son and found text messages that said Vicory loved him, according to the document written by a Gilbert police officer.
Later, the mother found numerous suggestive messages on a Yahoo instant-messaging account where her son corresponded with Vicory about arranging to have sex.
After the mother and son moved out of state, the boy told police that "he had consensual sex with Tanner Vicory on at least 10 occasions over a period of three months when he lived in Arizona,'' the report said.
The report said Vicory had been dating the boy's brother, who later was sent to prison. The police report stated that the suspected sex acts with the boy occurred between November 2011 and April 2012, while his brother was in prison.
Gilbert police arrested Vicory on Friday. She refused to speak with officers.
