Threats to kill someone outside the Broward County Courthouse turned into a volatile confrontation during which a North Lauderdale man told a deputy he didn't care if he got Tasered, according to an arrest report.

The incident landed Jonathan Boze, 20, in front of Broward Judge John "Jay" Hurley on Friday. Hurley ordered him held without bond.

Following a hearing in a domestic case Thursday, Boze allegedly shouted the threat, "I'll kill you," to Michael Bonanno and his sister, Jennifer Bonanno, outside the courthouse on Southeast Sixth Street in Fort Lauderdale.

According to a Sheriff's Office report, the siblings asked a deputy to escort them to their car because they were afraid that Boze would attack them. In a court injunction, Boze is named for allegedly striking Michael Bonanno's child, Hurley said.

As Deputy Paul Schad accompanied them to their car, they spotted Boze nearby, the report said.

The deputy told Boze to stay away, but he instead walked toward the Bonannos and shouted: "I'll kill you!" while his girlfriend tried to hold Boze back.

The deputy had the Bonannos and Boze's girlfriend move away, then ordered Boze to walk toward him. But Boze again threatened to kill the Bonannos, the report said.

That's when Schad took out his stun gun and ordered Boze to lie face down on the sidewalk. Boze refused, saying, "I've been Tasered before," according to the report.

However, once Schad pointed the Taser at Boze, he complied and told the deputy he had no intention of harming Bonanno, the Sheriff's Office said.

Boze is facing charges of disorderly conduct, violating an injunction and violation of probation. At the time of the courthouse confrontation, he was also on probation for another aggravated battery case, the Sheriff's Office said.
