A driver who bought the ride of a lifetime in a new Ferrari for just £25 could be left with a £250,000 bill after pranging the 190mph supercar in the first 15 minutes.

Sebastian Vogel, 23 - who bought the ride on a Groupon-style discount website - was left horrified when he collided with another motor.

He was driving the rare 360 Spider F1 Challenge Stradale through country lanes near Bern, Switzerland.

Although baker Vogel had full insurance for the drive, small print says it would be invalid if he was exceeding the speed limit.

Now police are examining the Ferrari's inbuilt sat-nav and engine management computer to see what speed it was doing when it spun out of control.

YourDeal discount boss Dejan Djuric said: 'The most important thing is that both the drivers escaped relatively unhurt.

'The question of blame is secondary and in any case is in the hands of the police,' he added.

The Spider F1 Challenge Stradale is a special edition of the Ferrari 360 built between 1999 and 2005.

It was the highest performance road-legal version of the 360, featuring carbon ceramic brakes, track tuned suspension, aerodynamic gains, weight reduction, power improvements and revised gearbox software among its track focused brief.

man if I owned that car, there'd be a precious few people I'd let drive it - the only person I dont know personally I'd let drive it would be like...the fkn Stig or something
