Was Mike Tyson refereeing this family feud?

An Aiken man had to have his ear lobe reattached Saturday night after it was bitten off by his son-in-law, according to a report in the Augusta Chronicle.

When deputies were called to the Augusta home around 10 p.m. Saturday, they found Frederick Harrison, 52, and Jonathan Collins, 29, in the middle of a fight, with a portion of Harrison’s ear lying on his chest, according to the Chronicle.

Police said the incident began when Harrison’s 30-year-old daughter and her husband, Collins, began arguing because the woman made a sandwich for another man at a party.

Harrison told deputies he was arguing with Collins when Collins punched him in the face and then bit off a portion of his ear, according to the newspaper.

Harrison’s ear lobe was reattached at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital. Collins was booked into the Richmond County jail on charges of aggravated battery.
