One of Stephen King's favorite movies

Is it really? I didn't know that :)

It's one of my more favorite ones from the B&W era of monster movies

I think in his non fiction book Danse Macabre, he mentions scouring the video shelves for hours and weeks and makes a comparison. The guy who goes to a vid store once a year and finds a great movie, compared to people like him (us), who have to sit through endless hours of dreck....just to find that one gem amongst the garbage. He felt that the people like us appreciate the media more, rather than the guy who lucks out on his one visit. (I can't explain the passage I read over 15 years ago as well as Mr King )

He mentioned the film Them, as one of his faves growing up. I'm sure he wrote about it in the above book, as well as in a preface to one of his other books

Interesting fact about this movie: Leonard Nimoy had an uncredited role as an Air Force Sergeant.
