Harrisburg police arrested an 18-year-old city woman who allegedly tried to pull a medical device out of her boyfriend's chest after accusing him of cheating on her.

Police said they charged Arica Broadus of the 100 block of Evergreen Street with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and making terroristic threats.

According to police, her 28-year-old boyfriend said he was going to the store on Sunday afternoon, prompting Broadus to accuse him of going there to meet girls.

She allegedly followed him to the store near Derry and Mulberry streets, where she attacked and threatened to kill him, police said.

Police said Broadus grabbed a catheter that had been placed in her boyfriend's chest for medical reasons and tried to pull it out.

Police said the catheter was partially torn out and her boyfriend, who lives in Allison Hill, was treated at the hospital

Police said Broadus later contacted police to surrender and was taken to Dauphin County Prison.
