Police: Indiana man choked ref at daughter's game

MADISON, Ind. (AP) - A southern Indiana man whose wife is a county prosecutor faces a battery charge for allegedly choking a referee at their daughter's basketball game.
Forty-one-year-old Robert Hensley was arrested Tuesday following the altercation at Muncie Elementary School in Madison.
Police Chief Yancy Denning tells The Madison County the incident occurred after a referee made foul calls on two girls playing in the game between Madison's eighth-grade girls and Switzerland County's team.
Denning said Hensley and another parent left the stands and went onto the court to argue the call and that Hensley put the referee in a chokehold when he tried to remove the pair from the court.
Hensley was released Tuesday night from the Jefferson County Jail after posting bond. His wife is Switzerland County Prosecutor Monica Hensley.
