I've finally saved up enough, and finally all the big debts are paid (except for the house) so I'm in a position to semi- guiltlessly buy myself what I'd really like for Christmas -- a DSLR Camera. Namely a Pentax K30.

Was a semi-pro (did weddings and other events for pay) photographer in my 20's and 30's, photographed stuff for the local paper, and have lots of Pentax lenses and stuff from the film era, but a family happened and getting a nice camera was put down on the priority list.

Now, I finally have the ear of a Pentax rep who will give me one at cost. I should have it before the 24th. I will shoot up a storm and post the results here someplace once I get it and play with it.

As for other stuff, I want a Mustang V6 but that will be later...after much more saving. Dunno if my 25 year old, 300,000km car will hold out until 2014 (when I forecast I'll afford it)!
