no it's one of a pair of TDL Studio 5's ,had them for about 8 years now and for the price i paid for them which i think was about £100 i'm really happy with them ,i did have a problem with one of the terminals snap off ,but an easy fix so can't complain

KevinD

They look nice. I though at first they were some old KLH but didn't remember KLH ever being offered in light blond wood.

All I have at the house now is some 25 yo Yamaha towers. They still sound great to me and will rattle the hell out of the windows. Had them on my entertainment center once, and vibration was so bad, made the cd skip..lol

The reason my tree is so plain is down to the children, for years I had to put up with a tree they decorated themselves and believe me it was hideous, so now they are older I've gone complete opposite and they are not allowed anywhere near it with tinsel and baubles.

Hal-9000
12-11-2012, 02:24 AM
Tinsel is awesome if you use lots of it and the proper lights. Also, when cats and dogs swallow it, you get to pull festive silver worms out of their butts for weeks!

I did that several years ago. It's still potted out on the back porch. I repotted it once into a larger pot. It hasn't grown a whole lot, but then again, my climate isn't conducive to growing those kind of trees. I'm afraid to plant it in the yard. I think my soil would end up killing it.

:-s

That's weird...this is from Wiki - " Tinsel, is a type of decorative garland material that mimics the effect of ice..."

For us, tinsel is thin, separate silver strips in a box that you literally put on the tree one by one to look like icicles. If you have pets, especially cats, you can expect to pull at least one 12 inch length of tinsel out of it's butt each Christmas season

I'm gonna get a pic of our tinsel, brb

We've called strands of things... garland... since forever because tinsel is sold as separate little strands in boxes over here. We have to vacuum that shit up constantly and it's really a pain in the ass TBH.
