Amanda Bynes has scored a major legal victory, as two misdemeanor hit and run charges were formally dismissed against the former child actress in a courthouse in Van Nuys, California this week, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

"Amanda Bynes was able to reach a civil compromise in both of her hit and run cases. The two separate victims agreed to dismiss the charges after a financial settlement was reached with both. This is routinely done when both sides are able to come to an agreement, and there really is no need to pursue legal charges because damages to their respective vehicles was paid for,” a source close to the situation exclusively tells RadarOnline.com.

“Amanda's lawyer, Richard Hutton, advanced the case and went in early to avoid the media, and the judge (Wednesday) signed off on the deal in which the prosecutor also approved. Amanda took responsibility for her actions, and the court recognized that," the insider added.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Bynes ,26, had previously pled not guilty in the hit and run cases. The Nickelodeon starlet still has a separate DUI and two counts of driving on a suspended drivers license cases pending.

Bynes ditched sunny Southern California for the East Coast and has been living in a five star hotel in mid-town Manhattan and hopes to start her own clothing line. "Amanda is really a little girl lost and doesn't ever want to go back to Los Angeles. Amanda has been in contact with her parents recently, though they only communicate by text messages. Her parents are very concerned about her health, but there is very little they can do to help her," the insider said.
